This is a great opportunity to use your artistic skills, learn some new ones, make friends, bless the local community, and take part in the current trend that is Rock Painting. What’s more, it is completely free and all art equipment will be provided.
Over 6 weekly sessions, we will be painting rocks with Christmas pictures and messages of hope. Then in mid December we will hide them around the local area. Anyone that finds them will be able to keep them and use them as decorations in their own homes. Sessions will run from 10:30 am on Saturdays at Plume Avenue Church. The first session will be on the 7th of November. Note: This club is for secondary school aged young people only.
This year, Christmas is likely to be more challenging than most others, for many people. On top of this, the return to school has been challenging for many young people, whether it is because of growing distant with friends through lockdown, or returning to find that their friends have changed or moved to different groups. This project aims to help young people build friendships while developing and using their artistic skills to build community and friendship, whilst bringing hope and kindness to the wider community of Shrub End and Prettygate.
We are a COVID-secure youth group, and as such we ensure that all social distancing measures are adhered to, including the wearing of masks, which must be brought with them. As such, we are limited by law to 15 spaces, which will be given on a first come, first serve basis. To book on, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
